I had four days on my own in Niederau, Austria. I loved the hostel I stayed at but I was the only person there, so I had some nice alone time walking around during the day and being lazy at night. It was similar to Switzerland with all the beautiful mountains, green hills and paragliders.
Switzerland is beautiful and Interlaken was a really nice town. We stayed at a great hostel and rented bikes to get around. Unfortunately I spent most of the time fighting off a cold so I wasn’t on top of my game, but I’m finally better now. Interlaken is a great place to go if you’re into action/adventure type activities it turns out.
In this week’s edition of “A Broad Abroad”, we find that Christy discovered the meaning of life through AC/DC lyrics and spent the night in a fall out shelter. Oh, the places you’ll go!
This past week Christy was in the Czech Republic where she spent the majority of her trip hallucinating from absinthe. She also met Boris, a misunderstood young man who struggled with understanding Christy’s southern accent and her love for The Beatles.
Welcome back to another installment of “A Broad Abroad”. Following up with last week’s format of Purge writer’s captioning Christy’s photographs while she travels the globe, we’ve brought on some new players. This week’s line up consists of newcomers Laura Straub and Winston Ward, along with Johnny Carroll.
Due to Christy’s busy travel schedule, this week’s “A Broad Abroad” will have a different format. Instead of beautiful photos and a brief description of why Christy’s life is better than yours, Purge Editors Johnny Carroll and Jessica Hunt attempt to piece together through captions what took place on Christy’s trip to the Netherlands.

Christy’s last stop was in France. It must have been so beautiful that it left her almost speechless. The only words she uttered were “France! Southern France. I love it here.”
I’m writing this post from Monaco. We’re sitting outside on a patio that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. We just arrived from Spain, after spending 3 days in Barcelona. For the most part, we just walked around to see what there was to see. Enjoy!
Ireland…was a blur! It went by too quickly. We packed a lot in to one week.
