OMG Taco didn’t quite make us say, “OMG.” It was more like, “Eh.” Growing pains happen at any new restaurant. But because our order came out wrong in many ways, it was hard to tell what was what. I ordered my two tofu tacos “LOL” style but couldn’t find a single sesame seed or sprig of cilantro… on anything we ordered. What’s more, the fried tofu, supposedly “tossed with sweet OMG chili sauce,” was bare and flavorless.

I had a packed schedule this Labor day weekend but I would have been damned if I didn’t make room for my all-time favorite convention/party/holiday/freakshow. Dragon*Con 2010 was a total black out blur, so this year I decided to save myself the hangover grief and act somewhat responsibly. Tim Song and myself made our way through the increasingly difficult security to find all the usual and unusual suspects. Aside from our brief, low-key appearance, everyone else appeared to be having the time of their lives. As they should. Here’s a snapshot of this year’s antics through our eyes.

The bastard children of the art community, often revered, but usually reviled– graffiti artists face scrutiny with every masterpiece they create or urban canvas they deface.
